Garden Making wins silver award

Garden Writers AssociationIssue #15 –Fall 2013 of Garden Making has been recognized with a Silver Award of Achievement in the small garden magazine category by the Garden Writers Association.

Entries from the U.S. and Canada were judged on writing, photography and design. Winners of the silver award are eligible for the gold awards, which will be announced at the GWA’s annual symposium in August, to be held in Pittsburgh this year.

The GWA is a non-profit association with more than 1,800 garden communicators as members. The goal of the media awards is to provide public recognition for excellence in gardening-related communications in all media.

Judges commented favourably on the photography and the special feature on native plants in the fall 2013 issue of Garden Making.
