Bulbs to enjoy with Master Gardener Mary Shearman Reid

The next meeting of the Stittsville Goulbourn Horticultural Society is on Tuesday, March 15th and will take place on Zoom at 7:00 pm.
Our guest speaker this month, Master Gardener Mary Shearman Reid, will give her presentation “Bulbs for Year Round Enjoyment.” Mary will discuss what to look for when selecting bulbs, how to plant and care for them, and most importantly, how to enjoy them. You will find there is “bulb activity” to enjoy for every month of the year.
Mary Shearman Reid has experience as a teacher, banker and garden centre owner. She uses the practical skills and knowledge from this experience at the Green Thumb Garden Centre in Nepean, which she has owned for more than 25 years. Growing up in a family of gardeners, Mary worked as a gardener during her summers at university. Mary enjoys teaching for local school boards and speaking to garden clubs, horticultural societies and other groups, and tries to find time to garden at home.
Mary is a member of Landscape Ontario, a Certified Landscape Horticulturist Manager, and a Master Gardener. She is the owner of Green Thumb Garden Centre in Nepean.
