This is the third stop on our virtual cross-country tour of botanical gardens
Open to the public since May 26, 2012, Whistling Gardens is home to more than 4,000 plants, situated on 20 acres in Wilsonville, Ontario. Features include a nearly 1 acre Rock/Alpine garden, formal replicas of majestic gardens such as those at the Palace of Versailles, numerous water features, a stone fountain amphitheater, and North America’s largest public peony and conifer collections! A popular destination site for weddings and plant collectors, Whistling Gardens (www.WhistlingGardens.ca) will also be featured in a ten-part 2022 documentary series on “Healing Gardens” (click here for more info).
A graduate of Sir Sandford Fleming College, Darren Heimbecker is the owner, horticultural visionary and driving force behind Whistling Gardens.

Visitors: Guests are welcome to participate in this virtual event, part of a series on Canadian Botanical Gardens, at no charge. Instructions for participation will be emailed to non-society members who complete the registration process prior to the event start time. In addition to being provided in a virtual manner, this meeting may also simultaneously be held at the McConaghy Centre.
