Gardening in a Rapidly Warming World with Neil Turnbull
September 27 @ 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Join the Cannington Horticultural Society for an interesting evening with Neil Turnbull. Neil is a Landscape Architect, but those two words can’t possibly present a picture of the extraordinary work he has done with plants, gardens and the places they exist. From postage-stamp, city plots to sprawling country estates, a Neil Turnbull garden will stop you in your tracks.
His sophisticated style is site-specific and can be subtle or exuberant but always enhancing the cultural and natural ecology of the landscape. Green roofs, natural swimming pools, modern and antique garden structures are all part of his extraordinary design palette. His own property, Hedgerow Farm is 100 acres of Certified Biodynamic and Organic gardens with 250,000 trees and shrubs in >600 varieties and even 4 acres of peonies.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to hear Neil talk. If you missed the CHS Exclusive Garden Tour of Hedgerow Farm this is your chance to see and learn directly from the master Landscape Architect.
Meeting to take place either outdoors at MacLeod Park in Cannington or at the Cannington Legion, 72 Peace St. Cannington – depending on pandemic protocols. Watch for details on club website or Facebook page.
