Gardening In the City

Etobicoke Master Gardener Jim Graham will speak to us on the topic of ‘Gardening in the City’. Learn about the urban micro-climate, how to create a healthy eco-system as well as how to protect your land and water and other urban gardening techniques. Plant selection, tips on growing your own food and even a bit about the ‘Wildlife in the Garden’.

The June speaker is Etobicoke Master Gardeners :

Jim Graham has been an enthusiastic member of the Etobicoke Master Gardener for the past 14 years. He has been actively involved in starting up and running community gardens, workshops and children’s environmental education programs in local schools. Jim has achieved a Horticulturalist Certificate through the University of Guelph, in addition to completing landscape design courses. His current passions include anything to do with native plants and hosting nature walks.

NOTE: Entrants for the Flower Show should arrive between 7:00 and 7:15 pm to complete their entry tags and register their exhibits with the Flower Show Chair.
