Get Growing, enjoy an introduction to growing food. You will learn about locations where you can grow your food, and what to grow including; Plants for sun, shade, and flowers for food. Learn about how to increase your soil health, preparing the garden, planting, maintenance, and extending your growing season. And let’s not forget about the Good Bugs and Bad Bugs that visit your garden. Suzanne Zacharczyk, is an active member of the Etobicoke Master Gardeners since September 2009, currently supporting the group as Past-Coordinator, and past Director of Operations for Master Gardeners of Ontario (MGOI). While working full time, she continues part time studies in Horticulture, achieving her Horticultural Certification. Suzanne has been gardening locally for many years, and her interests in foliage plants, hosta, and wildlife are reflected in her personal garden which was featured in Community Garden Tours in 2012 & 2019. As an active community member, Suzanne has been involved with multiple events, speaking at community garden workshops, and coordinator of fund-raising plants sales. Suzanne is also Past President of the Applewood Garden Club where she lives in Mississauga.
