Join Stratford Public Library and Stratford and Area Master Gardeners for a virtual presentation by Sean James on Layered Designs for Natural Gardens.
With the growing trend toward landscaping to enhance all forms of life the question becomes. How?
1. By choosing plants that support native species of insets, birds and animals and
2. Creating layers by including plants of varying heights and
3. Focusing on what food and habitat niches those plants would fill and the life cycles they would support.
We’ll delve into the best plant choices, design considerations and finer consideration such as obligate feeders (those that can fee only on one genus or species.
