SGHS: Our First Seedy Saturday Event

The Stittsville Goulbourn Horticultural Society, in partnership with the West Carleton Garden Club and Horticultural Society, plus the Kanata Horticultural Society, is presenting our first Seedy Saturday gardening event on March 11, 2023 at the Carp Agricultural Hall (Carp fairgrounds) between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Seedy Saturdays are fun, inexpensive events that promote the use of open pollinated and heritage seeds, seed exchange, and the education of the public about seed saving and responsible gardening practices.
We are offering you the chance to browse a selection of low priced local seeds (annuals, perennials, vegetables, and natives—cash only please) and to get expert advice from the Master Gardener table. You can also check out the various vendors and workshops, along with entertaining your children at the Kiddie Corner.
Admission is $2.00 (cash only) and includes 3 door prize tickets. Free admission for kids.
There will be coffee and muffins available for purchase, in addition to a silent auction table, with all proceeds donated to the Stittsville, West Carleton, and Kanata Food Banks.
