Niagara Falls Horticultural Society presents Dr. Deena Errampalli speaking on HORTICULTURE & FINE ART.
Dr. Deena Errampalli is a Research Scientist (plant pathology), a visual artist (painting, printmaking and photography) and a Grimsby Garden Club member. She has exhibited and juried, solo and group art shows in Canada. Her art work is in private collections in six countries.
Deena believes that horticulture has a place in all our lives. Horticulture can be defined as the cultivation of a garden, orchard or a nursery. Gardens have been a major component of artistic expression for centuries. Deena will draw from her experiences in both science and visual arts and examine the use of gardens and horticulture as themes for their aesthetic and/or symbolic value in art and architecture.
The NF Horticultural Society hosts meetings from September to May with speakers presenting a variety of topics on all things Horticulture. There are also monthly flower shows that members can enter, door/raffle prizes and refreshments served. During the spring/summer we have our Annual Plant Sale, Annual Rose & Flower show (free to the public), Garden Walk and Annual Flower & Vegetable show (free to the public). We’re a friendly bunch of people (all ages) who enjoy all things gardening from beginner to advanced. Come see what we’re all about. First meeting is on us. Membership is $15 for the year.
