Holly Rosary Hall
35 Queen St. South
Thorold Garden Club
It’s the time of the year when we start planning our gardens. We choose the fruits and vegetables we want to grow for food and the flowers that will add beauty to our lives.
None of this will happen if we don’t have bees to pollenate the plants. The bee population is diminishing rapidly. Communities are taking action by becoming “Bee Cities” and educational institutions are becoming “Bee Schools”.
A Bee City is part of a North American movement to support pollinator protection. … A Bee city begins conversations about how to reduce and eliminate chemicals that are harmful to pollinators, our food system and the planet.
Everyone is welcome to come out to The Thorold Garden Club to listen to a representative of the Bee City organization, February 20.
