The Sunpatiens Series comes in other colours, too: corona, salmon and white. According to the breeder, Sakata of Japan , these plants have larger flowers than standard New Guineas and stand up well to heat and humidity, yet will tolerate a light frost. The plants are a cross between New Guinea impatiens and a wild impatiens.

    • Are you positive that the plants you have are SunPatiens? These are different from traditional impatiens, which is susceptible to downy mildew. Symptoms of downy mildew include leaf curling. However, SunPatiens is unaffected by this mildew. If you still have the plant labels, check the information.
