Geranium, Pelargonium & Fuchsia Society of Ontario Meeting, Seasonal Show & Plant Sale
February 25 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
FreeTopic for the meeting will be questions raised by members about Pelargoniums, Geraniums and Fuchsias. How best to grow them, what the various types are, how to propagate them, how to prepare for a show, what the various show categories mean, etc… Attendees are encouraged to bring their favourite plant for show and tell or to have them identified. Plants for sale were grown by members from their collection of hard-to-find pelargoniums (mostly) and donated to the Society. The five categories for the mini show are: 1) A mini or dwarf zonal Pelargonium; 2) A scented or species Pelargonium; 3) A set of three different Pelargonium leaves; 4) A set of three different Pelargonium pips; and 5) A “winter garden” arrangement in a tea cup using mainly (but not exclusively) Pelargonium, Geranium and/or Fuchsia materials.
