Hortus TV announcement online in November 2018

HortusTV, the web-based service offering TV shows about gardening, announced in November 2018 that it was discontinuing its service. Launched in 2015 by Liza Drozdov, the web-based TV service had expanded to offer its shows in the U.S. in 2017. However, there was not sufficient support for the service to continue.

HortusTV had been available for a free one-week free trial by registering with an email address, and then cost $6.99 a month.

  1. I’m so sorry. I’ve been desperately looking for a streaming service for garden shows, and I thought I found exactly what I had hoped for. Unfortunately I’m a bit late.

  3. Wow! I just found out about this offering. How sad it is especially at this time of troubles and isolation to learn that this Canadian series has been cancelled. Oh how I wish I had known about it then as I would have definitely signed up and encouraged any members of garden related societies to encourage their members to sign up.
Is it somehow in some form available to watch now?
Thanks so much for the effort.
    Stay safe,

  4. Hortustv a delightful Canadian series, an escape from news and people who chaff. Canadian and British gardening experts share their favorite places and plants in a calm informative format with no commercials of any kind.

I offer my most sincere gratitude and admiration to Liza Drozdov for coming up with this idea and following through on it.

I bless the day I signed up.
